Blessing Kalu is an astute and accomplished Real Estate practitioner, a certified member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON), A registered member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), and a fellow of the Institution of Management Consultants. She has many other Post Graduate training and certifications too numerous to mention.

She has two research publications to her credit; namely, “Challenges in Valuation of Specialized Assets: a case study of Ascon Oil Company Tank Farm at Ibru Port complex-Apapa Lagos and Comparison of Property Maintenance of Public and Private properties: a case study of Umuahia Urban Area, Abia State;

She graduated from Federal Polytechnic, Nekede-Imo state with an HND in Estate Management and obtained her Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) from Girls Secondary School, Akwakuma- Imo state. Blessing work experience started in 1997 at Adapalm Nigeria Limited, Ohaji Egbema in Imo State where she worked as an intern. Then after graduation from Federal Polytechnic, Nekede. She was posted to Jide Taiwo and Company, a foremost Real Estate firm to do her mandatory Youth Service (NYSC)  between July 2000 to July 2001. The management of the firm discovered her potentials in the course of her service and quickly absorbed her as a full-time staff of the company upon completion of her service in January 2002.

In pursuance of her passion for excellence, she has proved her mettle as a core professional in real estate practice over the years and has risen to the enviable position of Executive Director in the firm.  She has over twenty (20) years of experience in the industry and has distinguished herself as an outstanding professional Valuer. As a result of her commitment and other values, she brought to the firm. Her hard work, dedication, and professional and managerial competence were rewarded in the year 2012 when she was appointed a Partner and Group Head, Central Valuation in Jide Taiwo and Co – a firm of Estate Surveyors & Valuers thus becoming the only female amongst the Partnership and she was charged with the responsibility to coordinate and supervise the Marketing team, Valuation Reports, Orientation and Training of newly recruited staff and also represent the company on sundry real estate transactions.

Backed by industry experience spanning about 20 years, she has become an industry icon renowned for expertise in the areas of valuation execution and marketing as well as other Real Estate Consultancy Services. She is revered for her expertise in land and building, furniture and fittings, Plant and equipment, Aviation and maritime valuation having been involved in many landmark projects, some of which have become industry reference points.

She worked as Partner and the Group Head of Jide Taiwo and Co  Central Valuation Business Unit for eleven (11) before her appointment as General Manager Public Sector.

Blessing resigned from Jide Taiwo after 20 years of service without blemish to establish a firm of Blessing Kalu & Associates which was registered in June 2020 but commenced operation 1^st March 2022 after her resignation in January 2022. Her rich professional resume parades top-notch valuation execution services across various sectors of the economy. Blessing aside from being an astute professional, is a good manager of people and resources, She derives fulfillment in helping the less privilege in the society. She is a member of the International Association of Lions Club and Two Star Fellow- Nigeria Lions Charity Foundation (NLCF) as well as a recipient of The Woman of Merit Gold Award.

Blessing Kalu was born to the family of Late Chief & Mrs. Benson O. Ogbonna of Umuahia  Abia State on August 10^th  1975. She got married to Mr. Andrew Awa Kalu of Ohafia in Abia State. She is a mother of three amazing Children – Gift, Chidinma and Praise and is greatly loved by an awesome extended family.
